This is so tender, moving and so beautiful. This shot captures nature at its most fragile and ephemeral - the soft pastel colour and the background that melts into an exquisite soft focus displays the forests handiwork at its most breathtaking. The slight green accents to the right of the picture which are the unopened buds compliment the colour scheme and add interest as do the petals leading to the stamen and heart of the bloom. Extraordinary macro - even the fine downy filaments of the stem are clearly visible. This is a high impact work given my receptive mood and the artistry on show.
